Chelsea Sodaro claimed victory in her first race for the BMC-Vifit team in the Ironman 70.3 Santa Rosa. Chelsea cruised to the finish line in 4:10:57 to take her her very first win of the season, having kept her pace high throughout the race. She also achieved the fastest running split of the day with a time of 1:16:13.
Speaking of her performance, Chelsea Sodaro said: “I was really grateful to be back racing today. I came out of the water in a good position and felt strong on the initial hills on the bike. It was supposed to be hot, so I took good care of my hydration and nutrition on the bike and was excited to run. I felt really smooth on the run and mostly executed the race I wanted. Today was fun as it was basically in my backyard, so my husband and my coach were out on the course. Really proud and looking forward to the rest of the season.”
